4BLACKEST NIGHT, by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. (DC Comics, $29.99.) This collected edition of the event mini-series features some surprising deaths and even more surprising rebirths. Green Lantern and the recently resurrected Flash are at the forefront.2

8THE STAND: SOUL SURVIVORS, by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Mike Perkins. (Marvel Enterprises, Incorporated, $24.99.) The graphic novel version of Stephen King’s "The Stand" continues. Nick and Tom hit the road and meet the not-so-stable Julie.1
9TWILIGHT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, VOL. 1, by Stephenie Meyer and Young C. Kim. (Yen Press, $19.99.) The comic adaptation of the ever-popular vampire series.19
10BLACKSAD, by Juan Diaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido. (Dark Horse Comics, $29.99.) Didn’t curiosity kill the cat? John Blacksad, a feline detective, delves deep in murders, child abductions and nuclear secrets. This collection reprints three stories from the international best-selling series.3
