1THE EXILE: AN OUTLANDER GRAPHIC NOVEL, by Diana Gabaldon and Hoang Nguyen. (Random House, $25.) The story of Jamie Fraser, a kilt-wearing 18th-century Scotsman, and Claire Randall, a World War II-era nurse who has been transported back back in time, is retold in the graphic novel format.3
2THE ADVENTURES OF OOK AND GLUK, by George Beard and Harold Hutchins. (Scholastic, $9.99.) Ook and Gluk, two cave boys, must learn kung-fu to save their prehistoric home from a menace from the future.9
3AMERICAN VAMPIRE, VOL. 1, by Scott Snyder, Stephen King and Rafael Albuquereque. (DC Comics, $24.99.) What do the roaring 20’s and the wild west have in common? Vampires.1
4THE OUTFIT, by Darwyn Cooke. (IDW, $24.99.) A second adventure of Parker, the antihero created by Richard Stark, is turned into a graphic novel. In his installment, Parker gets a new face... and revenge.1
5BLACKEST NIGHT, by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. (DC Comics, $29.99.) This collected edition of the event mini-series features some surprising deaths and even more surprising rebirths. Green Lantern and the recently resurrected Flash are at the forefront.13
6X-MEN: SECOND COMING, by various. (Marvel Entertainment, $39.99.) Will the mutant named Hope be the rescue or damnation of mutant kind? There may not be time to learn the answer as the X-Men try to save her from eradication.2
7DARK TOWER: THE BATTLE OF JERICHO HILL, by Peter David, Robin Furth and Jae Lee. (Marvel Entertainment, $24.99.) This comic series explores the world set forth by Stephen King’s “Dark Tower” novels. Will the evil plans of the Crimson King come to fruition?8
8KICK-ASS, by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.. (Marvel Entertainment, $14.99.) A "realistic" look at what would happen if a teenage boy put on a costume to fight crime. Not for the weak of heart.31
9THE MARVELOUS LAND OF OZ, by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young. (Marvel Entertainment, $29.99.) Dorothy is back in Kansas but the adventures in Oz continue with the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and newcomers Tip and Jack Pumpkinhead.2
10TWILIGHT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, VOL. 1, by Stephenie Meyer and Young C. Kim. (Yen Press, $19.99.) The comic adaptation of the ever-popular vampire series.29

9THE SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, VOL. 8, by various. (Dark Horse Comics, $19.99.) This volume contains another 500 pages of Conan stories, including “Daughter of the God King," in which our hero must rescue a princess from a man who aspires to godhood.1
10STITCHES, by David Small. (W.W. Norton & Company, $15.95.) The author recalls his life, including an operation at age 14 that leaves his voice barely above a whisper, in this graphic memoir.1
